The CEO in concerned about how the upcoming merger/acquisition and possible offshoring and outsourcing of jobs will look to customers and wants to devise a plan to help combat this possible image crisis.
This week, the CEO has tasked you with developing a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for Venus Widgets to help maintain a positive image, but first she wants you to conduct an analysis.

- Describe why a CSR program is important for the organization to implement.
- Discuss the impact that CSR will have on the community. Will implementing a CSR program be in the best interest of the company, community, and environment? Why or why not?

Why CSR program is important for the company
For any profit or nonprofit organization, they should put in efforts to improve their reputation in
the society. For many organizations, it is not a mandatory thing but advisable in ensuring that
they keep their image globally and internationally. The program will be important in the
following ways.
Improving the image of the organization: most organizations that conduct a corporate
social responsibility are often plausible and those that show commitment to the public are more
effective that those that do not have a corporate social responsibility. The image of the
organization lies on hands of their social responsibility to the communities and how well the
communities indentify with the programs (Gond and Moon 2012).
Customers and clients love identifying themselves with organizations that helps them
because they feel valued. This could be done by participating in community programs like
volunteering, offering donations when needed wither in-kind or other monetary. This increases
the chances of improving their reputation to the public.
It increases the coverage of the media: however much work the company does, it will not
be of any good if nobody knows about them. The company builds relations with local media of
