Religion is an important social institution, just like kinship, marriage, and family.
It has been influencing society and human life since ancient days.
Every aspect of human society and human life bears religion's influence.
There are various religions practiced worldwide.
The two major religions with the most followers are Islam and Christianity.

A religion must have various particular elements, beliefs, and practices.

The first essential element is a theological cosmology which forms views in
which individuals and cultures imagine how things are and what they mean.
It must contain specific beliefs in a supernatural higher power or something
beyond human beings' understanding of the universe.
This supernatural being or power is believed to have created the universe; hence
it controls and influences it
Muslims and Christians believe in one supernatural power, which is God.

These are repeatable actions that people do to symbolize their religion and to
honor supernatural beings.
They include a system of practices for honoring and worshiping the supernatural
power, for example, religious institutions.
Both Christians and Muslims have this in common whereby they all have specific
religious institutions for worshipping God.
Christians, for instance, worship in Churches while Muslims worship in mosques.
