There are several stages and incidents which depict that there are conflicts present in
Macbeth. Firstly, the central character, Macbeth, is having the conflicted feelings and thoughts
about himself. At one moment he thinks, he is an invincible and unconquerable person but the
next moment, he falls in the despair and thinks that he has compromised his invincibility.
Macbeth exhibits a character which has chasms of feelings: at a moment, at the peak of
positivity, but the second moment brings him to other extreme of hopelessness and futility.
(Muir, 2005)
In third scene of act 1, he is found fighting with himself in the under conscious about the
murder of Duncan and take over his throne but another thought of morality and the sociopolitical consequences discourage him. Eventually, when he kills him, even after that, he stays in
the disguise that Duncan will be back and a continuous fear haunts.
Climax has been used as the literary technique to exhibit the logical end of the whole
story where Macbeth’s life reaches at a stage where the number of enemies and the friends, both
are leaving him and he gets to be a mature person than before.
Imagery is another literary technique used in Macbeth when Banquo is described with
detailed manifestation. Eyes of Banquo have ‘no speculation’ is the imagery which indicates
about Banquo. There is a continuous state of counter-argumentation within a person which has
been portrayed in Macbeth, that a person’s insight is always fighting between the ‘haves’ and
‘don’t haves’ and the life comes to and end without reaching replying ourselves in a satisfying
manner. (Muir, 2005)

plays were on London stage by 1952 (Chambers). He gained popularity in London by the
playwright Groats-Worth of Wit, Romeo, and Juliet, the Merchant of Venice among other
famous works. Shakespeare divided his between London and He spent most of the time where he
was born at Stratford, but also worked in London St. Helen's Parish (Hales). Most of his
playwrights aligned with each other in some instances at the beginning and late times in his
career. His early classics were Italianate comedies containing tight double plots and comic
sequences creating the entry of romantic plays.
Romeo and Juliet, a first playwright, written by Shakespeare, starring two young lovers
upon their death brought about the reconciliation of their feuding families. This was considered
to be the most well-known playwright in his career together with Hamlet. The two young
lovebirds belonged to a tradition of tragic romances, and the plot is based on an ancient Italian
tale inspired by Arthur Broke and William Painter. William got lots of inspiration from both and
expanded significantly in the scheme. Shakespeare uniquely applied his poetic, dramatic
structure to increase tension in his plays, expansion of minor characters, and the application of
sub-plots to expand more on the story to give it taste. This was his way of showing simplicity in
his plays. (Muir, 2005)
