VSU IBMs Five YR Vision Focuses On New Technology For Visualizing World Worksheet
Class,A question was raised concerning the Week Five assignment so I am providing some additional points for the assignment due this week.1) Most important is to choose a company different from the one used in previous assignments.2) Similar to the Week One assignment and using this different company you will prepare the Organizational Change Chart for this company where you analyze a change process using Kotter's 8 steps.3) There are questions to be answered in addition to Kotter's 8 steps. These can be inserted in the excel spread sheet in the comment area. I have reformatted the organizational chart attached at the bottom to make this easier to do.4) Keep in mind that the company selected for this assignment is the one you will use in preparing the Week Six assignment.Assignment ContentTo prepare for the Week 6 Assessment, choose a well-known corporation, such as Samsung, Starbucks, Ford Motor Company, or Waste Management, that implemented a major change. The company chosen for this weeks assignment will also be used to prepare the final assignment in Week 6. The company selected must be different from the company you analyzed for a change in the assignments for Weeks,1, 2, 3, and 4. Analyze the corporation’s change process based on Kotter’s 8-Step to Change using the Organizational Change Chart.Kotter's 8-Step Change ModelStep One: Create Urgency.Step Two: Form a Powerful Coalition.Step Three: Create a Vision for Change.Step Four: Communicate the Vision. Step Five: Remove Obstacles.Step Six: Create Short-Term Wins.Step Seven: Build on the Change.Step Eight: Anchor the Changes in Corporate Culture. Was this a positive organizational change? Why or why not? If so, what strategies and tactics were effective or ineffective in creating positive organizational change? What strategies and tactics would have worked better?Include at least two citations from the text book, supplemental course materials or peer reviewed sources in the organizational change chart. A citation should not exceed 40 words in length.

CTU Probation and Parole Unit 2 IP The Role Of The Probation Officer
You have returned from your academy training, and you have just been assigned your first case. John McMahon is a 25-year-old man who was recently convicted of possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison, suspended on the condition that he serves 2 years on probation. Special conditions of probation include payment of a $500 fine, completion of any drug treatment program directed by the probation officer, and random drug testing as directed by the probation officer. During your initial interview with Mr. McMahon, you learn that he has a number of friends who are involved in the criminal justice system, and he has a history of alcohol and cocaine dependence that began when he was 17 years old. His drug abuse resulted in his failure to complete high school (he dropped out during his senior year), and he has never had any form of drug treatment. Mr. McMahon also reported that his father is an abusive alcoholic who has on occasion been physically abusive to his mother. To Mr. McMahon's credit, he has maintained a job working as a laborer in the construction industry, where he works about 30 hours per week. He scores out as a moderate risk offender using the in-house risk assessment instrument. With this in mind, address the following in a Word document that is 750–900 words in length:Create a document outlining the conditions of probation that Mr. McMahon must follow that includes standard conditions as well as the special conditions imposed by the court. Be sure to include identifying information as well as the sentencing information on this form.Write a memo to your supervisor outlining how you plan to supervise Mr. McMahon. Outline how often you plan to have contact with him, what form of contact you will have (telephone, face-to-face in the office, face-to-face in the community at his job site or residence, etc.), and how frequently you will administer drug tests. What other interventions or resources will you allocate to this case? Be sure to align your response with evidence-based practices, and provide sound reasoning for your proposed plan of action in this case.APA Format, 750-950 words

UMUC Business Project Management Discussion
Complete both discussions. Please create a new thread for each theme and identify in the subject line the theme for which you are responding. In responding to the discussions and to other students, please be sure to use the course material using in-text citations and a reference list to cite the source(s) used. Remember, an in-text citation cannot exist without having a corresponding reference list and a reference list cannot exist without having a corresponding in-text citation. Use of the course material using in-text citations and a reference list is always expected in the discussions and good practice for the assignments in the course.Discussion 1A: Project managers drive change and innovation. Reading about the history of project management shows you the innovation it drove in the past. Now take a moment to think about an exciting product or service that you use – it was also built by a team led by a project manager. Go onto a job search website (e.g. Monster, Careerbuilder, Indeed) and type in “project manager” as a search term. Note how many responses come back, then narrow the search to look for companies that provide the product or service you chose. See what types of project managers they are looking for and find a posting that you might be interested in. Explain where you looked and the number of jobs you found. Then explain why you chose that company, that particular job, and what the requirements are for that position. Include a link to the web page that contains the job description you chose.Discussion 1B: Watt (2014) makes a significant case for communication skills to be the most important skill or characteristic in a project manager. After communication skills, what is the next single most important skill or characteristic in a project manager to ensure project success? Defend your choice and be sure to use the course readings. (Choose just one skill or characteristic, then make a case!) If you choose to respond to others in this theme, select someone who identified a different skill or characteristic than what you chose and try to convince them why your selection is more important.
