Emotional intelligence refers to the capability to comprehend and manage the individual
emotions and those of the people around you. Interestingly, emotions are used as a source of
energy to influence, connect and motivate with people (Clarke, 2010). Currently, companies are
looking for project managers with soft emotional intelligence skills in the increasingly
competitive global business environment. According to Clarke (2010) emotional intelligence
(EQ) is a significant differentiator in project management success. It determines the project's
success since research shows that 58% of the success in project management is based on the
individual ability to be emotionally intelligent (Obradovic et al., 2013).
According to Maqbool et al., (2017) most top performers have a 90% rate in the EQ,
