I’m trying to study for my Business Law course and I need some help to understand this question.
Today, arson is a crime against possession and occupancy, not just against ownership. So even where owners are not in possession of, or don't occupy, their own property, arson can still be committed against it.
Why is it important to include property which the owner does not necessarily occupy?
What impact might arson laws have on insurance companies?
