I agree with George Orwell when he said, "the most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their understanding of their history." For example, about 520 years ago, a European empire conquered almost an entire western hemisphere. But it was not just a simple case of one nation coming in taking over politically, this was complete hegemony of one nation over another. The conquerors came in took most of the wealth, told the natives to stop talking weird, in some cases raped the females, and to complete the amazing brainwashing told to change their religion. That European empire, Spain, succeeded almost like no other. Today most people of Latin America forgot their native language and follow the religion brought to them by the conquerors; most of this people now Speak Spanish and follow Christianity.  That is complete destruction. It has been accomplished by a Eurocentric view of world.
