I agree with the basis for defining compensation for employees, as you stated, the amount of compensation should be based on the scope of work performed by the employee. It would not make much sense to have everyone performing different level positions with different level of standards being paid the same. This would cause a lack of performance from other personnel in a higher position and would promote a poor morale towards job performance overall.
Making sure employees have enough compensation for the work they are performing is crucial in maintaining a successful company. Considering employee satisfaction is a major influencer for the outcome of the company how would you suggest solving the problem of a company who cannot afford to pay out a 1% pay increase to employees that deserved it? How would you explain this solution to the entire employee platform in a way that would keep morale and performance just as high as the previous year before the announcement?
