To find out the affect of these factors we will design an experiment.
Consider an experiment in which marble stones (calcium carbonate) reacts with acid in the
following reaction
CaCO3 +_ HCl --- CaCl2 + H2O + CO2
The rate of reaction is determined by the amount of CO2 which is produced during the reaction.
