planning, organization, and the way you present your assignment. All three sections will carry

1) Planning: Read the assignments carefully, go through the Units on which they are based.
Make some points regarding each question and then rearrange them in a logical order. (1.5

2) Organisation: Be a little selective and analytical before drawing up a rough outline of your
answer. Give adequate attention to the question’s introduction and conclusion. (1.5 Marks)

a) The answer is logical and coherent

3) Presentation: Once you are satisfied with your answer, you can write down the final version

“Success of any organisation depends upon leadership skill in the organisation”.
In line with this statement briefly discuss the role of leadership in the success story of any
organization of your choice. With an example, critically analyse the leadership style which is

Imagine You Started A New Business As An Entrepreneur In Saudi Arabia.
Owners, Capital Structure And Company Profile
The name of the business is Crestwood coffee lounge, and it's a private corporation. The
email address is thecrestwood@hotmail.com. The website is thecrestwoodlounge.com. The
corporation is 100% owned by Emah Abdullah and Ibrahim Ali, who will co-manage the
business, and at least one of them will be available at all times during working hours of the
business. Both owners have prior food service management and are skillfully trained baristas.
Quiver's design services will do interior design for the premises, and Saad will handle
accounting. Hany catering will be in charge of supplying baked commodities. The Crestwood
lounge Inc. is expected to keep and manage the business's financial situation for the subsequent
six years. The business will be funded by an entire capital investment of $120,000, with each
contributing partner half of the capital. A $60,000 four-year loan term will also help boost the
business.

Scope And Type Of Business
The Crestwood coffee lounge will be the meeting point for all coffee lovers around the
country. The lounge intends to provide coffee of the highest quality in a trendy and very serene
atmosphere. The suitable location combined with satisfactory customer service will help the
business build a loyal consumer base (Burton, 2016). The partners have over a decade of
experience in the foodservice industry. The business's main idea is product delivery and not
service delivery. Our primary commodities will be high-quality coffee products, including
cappuccino, espresso, and lattes, together with a variety of sweet snacks. Objective delivery
aimed to provide a satisfactory consumer experience will be measured with minimum consumer

complaints with increased sales. The passion for the target market is to be able to have easy
access to better and consistent quality coffee. They also prefer a serene place they can carry out
their activities with minimum restrictions.
The mission of the business is to provide the best and high-quality coffee products to all
the local residents. The business is committed to offering high-quality services to meet the
consumer’s expectations. The business is strategically located to make it easily accessible from
technical institutions, schools, colleges, and various premises around the vicinity. This will help
to boost consumer traffic in the restaurant. The selected location provides room for outdoor
activities, which require less room for renovation. Many consumers do not fancy facilities where
they are constantly interrupted for renovation to take place. That's what gives Crestwood coffee
lounge an edge over other facilities. Due to the area being vacant for quite some time, the owner
has decided to lease out the space for a period of four with an option of an additional fifth year.
Upon the elapse of the lease agreement, the owner may still extend the contract with the lessee.
Business Philosophy
In the immediate surroundings, our primary competition comes from Albaik fast-food
restaurants. The business intends on securing an upper hand in the local coffee market by
providing high-quality coffee commodities at very affordable prices. Along with the serene
surroundings and satisfactory consumer services, the business also intends to tap into
sophisticated and complex consumers. Competitors offer low-grade beans, use underdeveloped
technologies, and do not adequately conduct employee training. The impact of this is the
production of low-quality coffee and several complaints from their consumers.
At Crestwood coffee lounge, we intend to offer high-quality coffee consistently
combined with excellent consumers service to build a broad, loyal consumer base (Teoli et al.,

2019). Research indicates that millennials have overtaken boomers as the most prominent
existing generation. Millennials prefer having coffee in trendy places and public places because
they are more social (Burton, 2016). Coffee consumption has been on the increase in recent
years. Retail sales have been on the increase as the local population can afford specialty coffee.
Even though competition does exist, none of them offers ample parking and patio seating. The
restaurant also does not provide Wi-Fi connectivity.
What makes the Crestwood lounge unique and likable is that it has a marketing strategy
that is able to take care of the needs of the young people with excellent services combined with
indoor and outdoor seating areas. In addition to that, fast internet connectivity is available, which
will assist students and business people in carrying out their activities while having lunch at the
lounge. The aim is to ensure friends meet, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
After the preliminary loan duration of four years, the business intends to make further
expansion. At that particular period, it is anticipated that a bank credit in addition to retained
earnings will be used to fund the new project development. The expected financial statements for
the next five years will be prepared with strict conformity to the universal accounting principles
and that will include any amounts based on rational estimates and projections. Additionally,
long-term assets will also be expensed by means of straight-line methods, and inventory
accounting method will be first-in, first-out method.
3. Products And Services
Our main commodities will be high-quality coffee products, including cappuccino,
espresso, and lattes, together with various sweet snacks. Cappuccino is a kind of coffee
prepared with milk and espresso and frothed with pressure steam. Espresso is a black coffee
prepared by forcing steam through the coffee beans. Latte, on the other hand in a coffee

whose origin is Italy. It is prepared with espresso and steam. The location of the business is
2500 square meters with outdoor patience with adequate parking space.
The number of employees will be around 300. Many other co-workers will support
the manager to ensure quick and efficient consumer delivery. The premises will also have 12
offices of various departments and several retail facilities to ensure that consumers get
products at the right time, correct quantity, specifications, and right place. Our core values
underline our success. Performance excellence ensures employees and owners are able to act
responsibly. Teamwork ensures, we collaborate together, and we are bounded by loyalty and
trust. Integrity ensures all employees work with respect and diligence towards everyone. A
suitable location also provides visibility by many consumers leading to high traffic in the
lounge. Excellent customer service management builds on customer loyalty, and proven
management ensures the successful running of the business (Teoli et al., 2019). Our
weaknesses have been challenging, but it is also important to realize them. The cost factor in
maintaining high technology and limited operating capacity during peak periods have been
our most significant weaknesses.
