Earth's history is all around you, even in your backyard. The rocks you see may be fossils that contain information to unlocking some of the mysteries of the Earth's history.

Go on a virtual fossil dig and see what you can find.Using the National Park Day website, find a fossil park in your state (or a neighboring state).

Look at Tyler's post:

There are some cool fossils in Oklahoma. There is even an official fossil, the therapod. It is a dinosaur from the Jurassic time period. There is a neat park called Chickasaw park.In the Ordovician period, the land separated and created a sea there. In the park, there are many fossils of marine life.

  • Describe some fossils found in the fossil park.Include facts, such as the age.
