a) to find the inverse we switch the x and y and solve for y:
x = 8 + 0.75y
0.75y = x - 8
y = 1.33x + 10.67
f^-1(x) = 1.33x + 10.67
b) y = 8 + .75(12) = 8+9 = $15 / hr
c) 32.48 = .75x + 8
.75x = 32.48 - 8 = 24.48
x = 24.48/.75 = 32.64 units / hr
