If a, b are the solutions of 

(84/t+27) + (t-21/9) =1 , complete the sum a + b

(then the answer is supposed to be in "a+b= ..." )

(84/t+27) + (t-21/9) =1

84*9+(t-21)(t+27)=9(t+27)

756+t^2+6t-567=9t+243

t^2-3t-54=0

(t-9)(t+6)=0

Therefore a=9, b=-6

a+b=3
