Famous Beginnings: The Story of Santiago Vero’s Revenge
Thaddeus and Thalia had spent their entire lives hearing the story of the Wicked Man from their
grandfather Santiago. Every night before bed, Santiago would tell them the story of the Wicked
Man who had stolen Seraphina from him. They had heard the story so many times that they had
it memorized by heart. The tale seeped into their dreams, was a moral that they followed, and
had become a warning for all things involving love.
In the many times that the twins had heard this story, however, they had never heard the Wicked
Man's name, save for his other nickname, Fortunato. That is, until last week when their
grandfather had murdered him.
Thaddeus had looked to his twin sister in question, knowing that she would know what he was
thinking through their bond. It had always been that way, just as it had been for their grandfather
