Investigate normal changes of aging related to the heart
Aging brings about diversified and complex changes to the structure and function of the
cardiovascular system. Changes in the heart can be associated with age and result from
pathological conditions. Age does not cause a change in heart size; but instead, an enlarged
heart is associated with heart diseases (Eliopoulos, 2018). As a person gets older, the heart
muscle reduces its efficiency and contractile strength. Consequently, the cardiac output is low in
the event of psychological stress.
