Question Description
I'm working on a history question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
The reading for this week is excerpted from Douglas Baynton, Defectives in the Land. In this chapter titled "Handicapped," Baynton explores "new vocabulary" Americans used to talk about disability. Pay attention to the introduction paragraph where Baynton lays out the main topics of the chapter. As you read, take notes on the changes in how time was perceived. Pay close attention (and take notes) on the new terms used to talk about disability (Baynton lists five) and how they are linked to the new ideas about time.
