The slave business in Africa not only occurred in the whole continent for eras, but it lingers on to
the recent times in some of the nations. The system of slavery is a very common thing in all the
parts of the continent, as it was before in the ancient world.In the early 18th century, the black
slaves were found in every part of the area that was colonized by the European nations. The area
that was seen to be highly concentrated with slave labor was mainly in the southern colonies of
England. The slaves got jobs in the cotton and tobacco plantations and also in the mines.
Americans and Europeans had to travel to Africa to look for slave labor to work in plantations
The Europeans came to African regions and imported the African slaves for the reason of
demographic. There was the existence of epidemic diseases that put a reduction on the native
people from 50 percent to 90 percent. These diseases killed many of the individuals in the
America. Therefore, the Europeans had to come and venture the African region and put a raid so
as they could acquire labor for their sugar and the tobacco plantations including the silver and the
mines they used to extract the gold
The work that supplied was minimal in meeting all the needed demand or rather it was not
satisfying. The Africans were seen to be highly experienced in the intensive agriculture and
when it comes to raising livestock. The African also had the knowledge on growing crops such
as rice of which to the Europeans they were unfamiliar with them. For this reason, the Africans
were needed to work on the farms to raise the crops to look after the Europeans livestock.
