seeks to transform the world into sustainable transportation. It also aspires to be the pioneer of
electric vehicles in the world. Moreover, Tesla plans to be the leading designer and manufacturer
of electric cars. With its competent leader, Elon Musk, Tesla is now the dominating firm in the
production of electric automobiles. In a bid to understand how the company is faring in the auto
industry, a SWOT analysis will help describe the internal environment of Tesla Car Company.
Tesla has the most effective and efficient as well as strong leadership. The firm is led by
a management team that has extensive experience in other organizations. For instance, the CEO
of the auto company is a founder of two companies PayPal and SpaceX. Also, the chief technical
officer is a co-founder of Volacom. Therefore, the car company has strong leadership
contributes to its success.
Secondly, the firm has a strong and highly recognized brand (Grant, 2016). Reports based
on the survey done by car owners show that Tesla was ranked as the top auto company in the
industry. The company is recognized for its capacity to deliver innovative products and
renewable energy solutions. As such, its brand attracts more customers and assists in maintaining
loyalty from the clients.
The company has made significant sales over the years since its introduction in the auto
industry. In approximately five years, Tesla has made an increase of 1800% in its sales.
Additionally, the company’s sales in outside nations such as China are high. The growth rate of
its sales is higher in the Chinese market. Therefore, its growth in sales has increased both in the
local and international markets.
