Let us look at two great figures of humanity. One is Mother Teresa and the other Florence Nightingale.
Nightingale's contribution was to serve wounded soldiers during the world war. She would work tirelessly to provide comfort and medical care to the wounded. She performed her work selflessly and did not care for any recognition. It was her only passion in the life and she devoted her entire life to this mission.
Although Mother Teresa also performed very important task of humanity, her contribution was for improving the lives of thousands people in slums of Calcutta in India. These people were very poor and almost no hope of improving their life. The most important thing she did for these people was to educate them in hygienic ways of life. This way they could have better health and would not suffer from terrible disease prevalent in that area. In addition, she collected funds to educate young children who had no hopes of getting any education. All these tasks put her in grave danger but she faced this danger bravely and continued to serve poor people until her death.
Both of these figures of humanity served mankind in different ways. One helped wounded soldiers in need and the other helped poor people to raise their living standard. Both had great dedication but served different causes of humankind.
