Briefly describe a situation where you or another person remembered an experience or situation differently. Apply what you have learned in Chapter 10 in an analysis of why your memories may have differed
He remembers meeting at 10, that he was on time (highly doubtful), and that
they dined with friends. She, on the other hand, remembers meeting at 9:30,
that he was late (as usual), and that they dined alone. Episodic memory receives and stores
information about temporally dated episodes or events, and temporal-spatial
relations among these events. Semantic memory is the memory necessary for
the use of language. It is a mental thesaurus, organized knowledge a person possesses
about words and other verbal symbols, their meaning and referents, about
relations among them, and about rules, formulas, and algorithms for the
manipulation of these symbols, concepts, and relations.
