How do you give an example that illustrates how z-scores or percentages do a better job of representing the proportion of the area under standard Curve?

For example x=160 ; it does not convey much.

If the average value is 120 and standard deviation is 10, then z score = (160-120)/10 =4.

Z score of 4 will be on the top like 100 percentile. 

We must always remember comparison in relation to some thing.

Without proper scaling, any thing can be misleading.
