Based on the given question, I will use descriptive analytics to address it. The choice to
use descriptive analytics is informed by the fact that it helps to describe what has happened in the
past. Based on the given scenario, opinion data collected in the past ten months will be available
for analysis (Bauer & Erdogan, 2012). Therefore, to effectively analyze it, I will need to describe
events in the past and deduce what factors led to them. Secondly, based on the outcomes of the
descriptive analysis, I will further predict the future. Therefore, predictive analytics will also
address the problem in the given question (Bauer & Erdogan, 2012). Predictive analytics will
provide projections of what is likely to happen in the future resulting in the adoption of effective
measures to influence such outcomes to desirable.
