CSTU 101 Liberty University Greeks and Christians View of Pride Essay
In chapter 7 we read about the Greek’s justifiable view of pride in superior accomplishments. Compare the Greek’s view of pride versus the Christian’s view of pride taught in Scripture. Why did the Greeks view pride as they did? What does the Biblesay about pride? What do you feel is the cause of our present day view of pride within Western Culture? What about an individual’s achievements in sports? Can pride be both good and bad? Is there a balance? Just a few of the questions you can discuss.

Glendale Community College Middle Childhood Discussion
MIDDLE CHILDHOOD is most likely a time that each of you may recall. In Forum #4 you were asked to research and discuss an area of interest relative to very young children. In this forum, we turn our attention to the elementary school years.Think about experiences you had during these years. Are there any which have affected you later in your life?(Maybe it is time for your prof. to share. I never tell the truth about my weight. This goes back to when I was in fourth grade. The teacher had measured and weighed us. She told each of us our numbers, and we later had to repeat them aloud when our name was called. My weight was the highest in the whole class! (I was mortified!)YOUR TURN:Were you ever asked to read aloud in class? Were spelling tests dreaded, or did you ace them? Were word problems in mathematics difficult for you? When teams were chosen during Physical Education, were you the last to be chosen? Do you recall having art and music regularly? Did you have a best friend? Describe the relationship. Did your feelings ever get hurt? Did you have a favorite teacher? Why was she/he your favorite? Were you ever made to feel embarrassed? etc..I think you have gotten the idea where this forum is going. It is a sharing fest. As you decide what to bring into this discussion entry, conduct research on additional data in your particular topic. Ex.: If you had chosen having difficulty with word problems in math., how could your problem have been solved? Was the subject taught in a way that was difficult for you to understand? Write in a way that a lively discussion follows. Remember to show evidence of research, cited correctly.
