Leaders are mostly made based off of their experiences and life events. Although some characteristics can be inherited, majority of them are learned. According to '5 Reasons Why Leaders are Made not Born' (2019), one-third of leaders are born and two-thirds are made. To become an effective leader means you need a set of kills which are acquired through experiences based on the same article stated above. The article also states that leaders never stop learning which leads me back to my main point; leaders are built (made) and constantly learn to inspire and grow.

I believe Leaders can be made and born. For instance, Malcolm X, Gandhi, and Chisholm are all amazing leaders that knew the world needed a change and difference. Therefore, took it upon themselves to take action towards making the change. I also believe they were made into the leaders they were over time by learning, gaining experience, and practicing to become even better leaders. Y.P. Anand (2007) stated about Gandhi a central quality of his leadership was its natural evolution through intense interaction with the people and the events. He was acutely conscious of his own imperfections.

naturally. Moreover, people can perceive leaders to have been born since they developed
leadership skills early in their lives. Despite people seeing leaders as born, some reasons
