Question one
According to Fielder et al (2014), indirect costs are defined as an expected level of extra
disruption existing in one of three classes: System Performance, which happens in case of
reduction of speed as well as capability of the system to accomplish the interrelated business tasks;
User Morale, which involves impacts originating from the variation of behavior of the system
users; and Re-Training, caters for extra needs and requirements for operators of the system to be
familiar with the new control.
Indirect costs have great impact to organizational operations. These costs are of high
importance among firms in their day to day performance of their system. Other impacts associated
with indirect costs involves improving ability as well as willingness of firm employees to comply
with all security policies (Fielder et al. ,2014). This is an implication that, among major impacts
associated with indirect costs is ensuring organizational operations are running smoothly.
