It is always painful for any institution to lose one of its best employees, especially to a
direct competitor. In this particular scenario, a sales person who has been delivering
performances that is above the company average leaves and joins a rival company. There are
some issues that would certainly trouble the human resource management in the institution.
Firstly, it is highly likely that the sales person would carry along some of the customers with
whom he/she had formed personal relationships to the next employer (Campbell et al, 2012).
