3x^2-18x=9

Feb 23rd, 2015

please your equation is:

3x^2 - 18x - 9=0

so I divide both sides by 3 and I get:

x^2 - 6x -3=0

now, its discriminant is:

Delta/4 = 9+3= 12

so your solutions are:

x_1 = 3 + 2*sqrt(3)

x_2 = 3 - 2*sqrt(3)
