President Trump's accomplishment President Donald Trump first 40 days in office has seen him exercise his orders as the President of the free world. In his first appointment in office, Trump's one of the major steps he took is changing the Supreme Court leadership in United States. Many news reports highlighted this to be one significant step towards realizing a transparent judicial system in America. The selection of Neil Gorsuch for the open seat on the Supreme Court is one of Trump's promises to put conservative justices on Supreme Court. The confirmation of his selection would also ensure that many Americans are able to get justice that has been lacking in our courts for many years. The reason as to why his appointment by Trump is a key factor is because the veteran judge is not new to court. He served in many legal systems including the 2002 judicial system. He is also well educated in accordance to requirements of learned friends. A majority of congressmen welcomed the decision since the judiciary had been short handed since Justice Scalia's death in 2016. Trump This is a tricky topic, I believe that Trump is a corrupt man and is corrupting our country. Honestly, I can say Trump has not benefited the United Sates in any way, all he does is sign executive orders. Within hours after the inauguration, Trump repealed the Affordable Care Acre and signed an “executive order.” This man took away affordable health care, not everyone in America can afford a simple check up. Trump is not here for the people. He signed another executive order moving the federal initiative on HBCUs directly to the White House to “promote excellence.” I can go on and on about the executive order that are not benefiting the United States and since he has been in office nothing he has done has made me proud. Trump is not benefiting the people and only cares about the privilege whites. He actually has done some positive things for this country in the past 100 days that he has been in office. One interesting accomplishment that stood out to me by President Trump was that he signed an order to hold the federal agency heads accountable for the cyber security of their networks and calls on government and IT leaders to set up defenses against automated attacks online. This is a very important order because it sets the direction for US info sec policy in government and beyond that. It has been said that improving cyber security is one of the fewest items both sides of the government can agree upon, and this is the best step to protect our government's networks and critical infrastructure. Hackers across the nation use attack methods against private and public sectors daily and this method of cyber crime continues to evolve. I think this was an important order to pass as for our government it stops the unauthroized access and other cyber threats our nation has received. This will allow a maintainence of awareness of cyber threats, and to detect anomalies and incidents that affect IT and data. Other countries wont have the ability to send us threats and I think is very vital because it wont allow those certain countries to feel as though they have some type of power and control over us to do the things they want us to do. When researching for positive acts he has made to further help American the list was shorter than expected. It has now been more than 100 days in office and Trump has signed 40 bills into law. According to CNN, fifteen have rolled back Obama's administrations rules and regulations, eight had to do with designating or creating a new initiative, five changed and expanded legislation, and eleven were related to government funding and operations. Out of all these newly signed bills, I do agree with the "Department of Veterans Affair Accountability and Whistleblower Protection of 2017." Basically, this bill ensures that the administration will commit to giving the Nation's veterans access to care, services, and benefits they have earned. S.1094 holds VA employees to high standards of performance and conduct, and clarifies whistleblower rights and processes. This bill passed both bodies of Congress with broad bipartisan support. This new policy became a law on June 23, 2017, which is super recent and I actually support this bill.
