HOLISTIC RESPONSE TO CRIME VICTIMIZATION

Abstract
There are several responses which the responsible criminal justice departments can do to
reduce the crime victimization in a particular background. The crime victimization is the act in
which the crime offenders and the crime victims are mishandled and frustrated or persecuted.
The criminal justice system has the strategic ways and techniques of solving the cases which are
related to the criminal offense. On the other hand, the crime victimization has the theories which
define the origin of the issue, and how different people interpret the situation. The responsible
law units can thus exercise criminal justice. Regarding restitution, this is the compensation which
is given to the crime victim by the criminal offender in the court of law. Restitution is decided by
the crime victim, and is passed by the tribunal of law. However, the criminal justice has to be
practiced to both parties; that is the crime victim and the criminal. This is according to the laws
which are passed by the Congress, that criminal justice and the social justice should be practiced
in the country. The article talks about various aspects of the criminal justice and victimology. In
the current decade, there are aspects which are done by the criminal department units to ensure
justice. The statistics of the current decades can, therefore, be used to predict how situation
regarding victimization will be, in the next 20 years.

Holistic Response to Crime Victimization
Introduction
In the criminal justice system, restitution means the payments which are made by the
offenders for their unlawful actions towards others. Holistic Victim Restitution Plan, however,
means the programs that are taken and followed to make a successful payment of money by the
offenders in a lawful manner. This is the process in which the victim can be compensated with
his or her satisfied amount of money. The affected victims can make holistic victim restitution
plan in regaining their lost property using compensation. The program is made by applying all
the information from the law, psychology, or ethics, to find the fundamental ideas that will create
a perfect restitution plan.
History of Victimology
In psychology, law, and ethics, Victimology is the study of victimization and persecution.
Herein, the relationships between the offenders, victims, and criminal justice are considered.
Victimology was investigated from the years 1970, and up to date, it is studied by the criminal
justice departments. In any setting or an environment, victimology can be considered by the
police or any department or law like for instance the FBI to make sure that all the processes
which involve justice are taken into consideration. Moreover, it does not only study about the
crimes and the law but also accounts for the human rights and democracy which every individual
should have in the community. Therefore, victimology is significant to the society because it
helps the responsible department to deal with crimes and handle cases which involve violation of
human rights and misuse of the properties (Wallace & Roberson, 1998).

Theories
On the other hand, victimology theories are the philosophies or the models that explain
why the crimes exist and why some people become the victim of crimes in the country and end
up being jailed. Therefore, there are four theories of victimology. The victim precipitation theory
is one of the theories which consider the level of the victim. For instance, the victim might be
affected by the criminal act that can lead to death. The precipitation theory can hence be used to
judge how...
