Introduction
An abortion is the intentional medical procedure of bringing a pregnancy to an end. It is also
referred to as termination of pregnancy. Abortion is a critical issue and also an ethical dilemma.
There is always a debate of whether it should be made legal or not. Women from all walks of life
seek termination for various reasons being; pregnancy as a result of rape or incest, financial
instability, when the fetus has congenital problems, when the continuance of the pregnancy has
negative effects on the mother or when the mother suffers from diseases such as hepatitis. At
times, women go for abortions without paying much attention to future consequences. If it is not
legalized then women continue going for abortions of unsafe services from pseudos’. Therefore,
there are many overwhelming impacts of ban of abortion. Quite a number of people use
abortions as family planning methods which gives opponents a point not to legalize abortion.
The medical psychological and physiological dangers of unwanted pregnancies necessitate the
legalization of abortion and easy availability of abortion facilities.
