History of PPACA 2010
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) of 2010 was
signed into law by the U.S President Barrack Obama in March 2010
PPACA 2010 comprised of provisions allowing most citizens to
obtain health insurance cover and crack down on manipulative
insurance packages, in order to make healthcare provision more
affordable.
The program was essentially considered as the most crucial healthcare
restructuring act since the implementation of the reform in healthcare.
PPACA 2010 lowers costs to make the program more sustainable, and
at the same time improving the quality of care for seniors and people
with disabilities on Medicare and guaranteed health insurance cover.
How Bundle Payments are Processed
PPACA 2010 builds on episode-based models of payment established
in the private sector by restructuring payment to incentivize the
coordination of care.
