The information revolution should further cause new explosions in free-enterprise. First of all, the internet allows small companies to compete. For example, I can build an online presence that is as good as anyones. In theory, anyone can open an online store. These effects should be, for the most part, positive. Competition will encourage establish businesses to improve even more, in order not loose market share to the new kids on the block. Also the internet allows small business access to resources that they would not otherwise get.
