1. Set the null hypothesis. In this case, it is: new drug has no effect on blood pressure.
Now you have two groups: one placebo group and the other treatment group. Take one sample from each group and determine mu, s and n for each group.
Calculate t statistic. If t falls within the critical region, null hypothesis has to be rejected. This means that new drug is effective.
This test is non - directional.
