Using the ANOVA analysis how will you test(hypothesis) the new drug on blood pressure and would it be directional or non-directional?
Oct 17th, 2017

1. Set the null hypothesis. In this case, it is:  new drug has no effect on blood pressure.

Now you have two groups: one placebo group and the other treatment group.  Take one sample from each group and determine mu, s and n for each group.

Calculate t statistic.  If t falls within the critical region, null hypothesis has to be rejected.  This means that new drug is effective.

This test is non - directional.
