Ethics and Persuasion
Prepare a three- to five-page paper (not including title and
reference pages), formatted according to APA style as outlined in the
Ashford Writing Center, that details the importance of ethical behavior
and its significance in persuasion. Define at least two ethical theories
in your paper, and identify and describe the impact that ethical
practices have on persuasion. Your paper must include at least three
outside scholarly sources to support your opinions. You should choose an
effective example to clearly illustrate your viewpoints such as a
current event issue or personal experience.

Introduction
Society expects all individuals to behave in a way that is acceptable and respect
established norms and cultural elements of the society. Ethical behavior is very important for
both businesses; justified by the fact that it involves having respect for moral principles in
society (Messina, 2007). Examples of such moral principles which should be respected are
honesty, compassion, fairness, equity and having respect for fundamental individual rights of
people. Ethical behavior in business enhances an element of attaining a competitive advantage
and ensures that work flow occurs with minimal turbulences occurring. The moment individuals
behave in such a way that conforms to the available set of rules and other policies; legal issues
become least to be considered in nature. This article is addressing two ethical theories and the
importance of ethical behavior in persuasion.
