From the CRJ 325 Response Question 1: • Even though you may have had different responses in a recent scenario, what common assumptions are present relating to the use of force in the response you created of my responses? • What suggestions would you recommend I consider before pursuing my chosen course of action? My Response: “It looks like a case of suicide by cop. I, actually, didn' t see a weapon. I was Homeland Security and we did some experimenting with Ancient Israel tactics with YHWH (The God) and Yeshua Hamashiach (The Messiah), and while running Israel's strrategies I was able to block bullets and call down fire, like Elijah; in relation to the Muslims, who repented to us and surrendered the masterminds behind 9/11/2001. I know it is hard to believe but I don't fear bullets because of this experience. Knives either. So, i would pull my stun gun and fire at the approaching suspect. When his hand comes from behind his back I will arrest him and avoid his suicide attempt. We are trying to get this prayer system to the cops but, the CIA doesn't want it because they like the occult. Also they tie up YHWH around the Pentecostal churches in Prince Georges County, Maryland because, they fear someone will overthrow the government. It is complicated. I have actually been shot at and richocheted bullets into the shooter for shooting. The occult shot at me when I was Homeland Security. So, if the suspect pulls a gun I will do the same thing. The bullet block was seen in Jarhead 3 and Dark Knight Rises by Bane. Also, Cable, in Deadpool 2 blocked bullets. The CIA liason put it in the movies because it was done. I invented a masonry called Order of Book and Methods to protect those miracles I mentioned. The military has also blocked bullets using our prayer system. Even the Muslims are blocking bullets, which the CIA fears. I was the US 001 for Homeland that worked with President Obama. " No weapon formed against you shall prosper..."( Isaiah 54:17).” From the SOC 205 Response Question 2 • Compare and contrast the differences between your state and my state. My Response: “I currently live in Virginia, so for the judicial selection process in Virginia is one of a few states that the judges are chosen by a voting process of the legislature. The qualifications here in Virginia are you must be a state resident, you must have been a state bar member for at least five years, and lastly no older than the age of 70. For all the other different kinds of courts are also chosen by way of getting vote by a majority of the members elected to each house of the General Assembly” CRJ 325 New Week 325 Question 1: To successfully complete this question, you will need to refer to the information contained in: • The article, "Overview of the Police Use of Force." (https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/overviewpolice-use-force) • Please respond to the following in a substantive post: • • Consider this scenario: You are a police officer. You stop a vehicle, and the subject immediately jumps out with his right hand hidden behind his back. He begins to run toward your patrol vehicle. • Would you or wouldn't you pull your weapon? Why or why not? Consider the continuation of this scenario: You command the subject to stop. The subject continues to advance quickly on you. • Would you or wouldn't you shoot the subject, not knowing for sure whether he has a firearm hidden behind his back? Why or why not? Be sure to provide full citations and references Consider this scenario: You are a police officer. You stop a vehicle, and the subject immediately jumps out with his right hand hidden behind his back. He begins to run toward your patrol vehicle. Would you or wouldn’t you pull your weapon? Why or why not? The use of force for police officers is not defined by any law provisions, and the situation influences it. A police officer is only required to use force that is enough to control the situation and promote safety among the public and self-defense (Miller, 2016). In the scenario, I would pull out the weapon immediately he begins to run towards the patrol car to ensure that the subject stops to avoid any form of injury. Pulling the weapon out will necessitate the subject to surrender if there is no ill motive that he intends. It would also lead to him showing the right hand immediately as confirmation that he is not a threat to security. Failing to draw the weapon can lead to vulnerability and easy attack by the subject if he was a criminal. Consider the continuation of this scenario: You command the subject to stop. The subject continues to advance quickly on you. Would you or wouldn’t you shoot the subject, not knowing for sure whether he has a firearm hidden behind his back? Why or why not? The public is supposed to respect the jurisdiction of the police officer by honoring the commands given if they are no threat to security. In the scenario, failing to respect the command to stop might be a red flag on danger. I would shoot the subject on the right hand that I believe might be holding the firearm as a means of self-defense. Self-defense is an important activity in policing, and police officers must always ensure that they have protected themselves from activities that might be a threat to their lives. SOC 205 Question 1: Research the judicial selection process of the state of Texas. Explore the qualifications and steps needed to select judges for the different kinds of courts (Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals, Bankruptcy Appellate Panels, District Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, and Article I Courts) within this state. You may choose to use the following additional resources to assist you in completing this discussion: • State Court Web Sites. (https://www.ncsc.org/information-and-resources/statecourt-websites) • Comparing State Courts. (https://www.ncsc.org/information-andresources/comparing-state-courts) Question 1 Judicial selection is a key component in promoting transparency and equality in the criminal justice system. Judicial selection refers to the process used in selecting judges for the respective courts (Chang, 2019). Every state in the United States adopts a unique selection process. Texas is one of the few states that utilizes a partisan method of selection in filling all the court vacancies across all the courts (Monroe, 2011). All the courts in Texas use the partisan method to fill all the vacancies where an open ballot is cast to fill the vacancies. All the courts' positions that fall vacant between the term are filled through gubernatorial appointments, which the Senate confirms. All the courts also require an applicant to be a US citizen and Texas resident (txcourts.gov, 2021). The only difference is the qualifications needed for someone to qualify to hold the respective office. Supreme courts, Court of Criminal Appeals, and Court of Appeals must be licensed to practice law and have practiced law for at least ten years. They are also required to be between 35-75 years. On the contrary, the limited jurisdiction courts such as district courts, Bankruptcy Courts, and Article I Courts are required to have practiced law for a minimum of 4 years and be between 25 to 75 years.
