PSY 7864 Capella University Data Analysis & Application of Linear Regression Analysis
Instructions Complete the following for this assignment: You will complete this assignment using the Data Analysis and Application template (DAA Template [DOC]).Refer to IBM SPSS Step-by-Step Guide: Simple Linear Regression [DOC] for additional information on using SPSS for this assignment. If necessary, review the Copy/Export Output Instructions [HTML]
to refresh your memory on how to perform these tasks. Your submission
should be in narrative format with supporting statistical output (table
and graphs) integrated into the narrative in the appropriate places (not
all at the end of the document). As you work on this assignment, you may find the Data Set Instructions [DOC] helpful. Note: You will use a new data set this week,
which you will need to download. You will conduct a regression analysis
using the following variables in the anxiety.sav data set: anxiety.exam. Step 1: Write Section 1 of the DAA: The Data Analysis Plan. Briefly describe the goal of your analysis.State your research question, null, and alternate hypothesis.Specify the variables used in this analysis (predictor, outcome) and the scale of measurement of each variable.State the sample size (N) and the alpha level you will use (.05 unless otherwise specified).Explain why the analysis is a good choice based on the nature of your variables. Step 2: Write Section 2 of the DAA: Testing Assumptions. Articulate and test the assumptions of regression.Paste the model summary into the assumptions section of the DAA and interpret the Durbin Watson statistic.Report whether any outliers were found in the data.Paste the scatterplot of standardized residuals and interpret it for homoscedasticity.Paste the histogram and Normal P-P plot into the DAA and interpret it.Summarize whether the assumptions of regression are met. If
assumptions are not met, discuss how to ameliorate violations of the
assumptions. Step 3: Write Section 3 of the DAA: Results and Interpretation. Paste the SPSS output of the model summary.Paste the SPSS ANOVA output and report the results of the F test for the model.Paste the SPSS coefficients data.Provide results for F, Degrees of Freedom, R2, β, and the effect size: Cohen's f2. Interpret statistical results against the null hypothesis and state whether it is accepted or rejected. Step 4: Write Section 4 of the DAA: Statistical Conclusions. Provide a brief summary of your analysis and the conclusions drawn.Analyze the limitations of the statistical test.Provide any possible alternate explanations for the findings and potential areas for future exploration. Step 5: Write Section 5 of the DAA: Application. Analyze how you might use this statistical approach in your field and what the potential implications would be. Submit your DAA template as an attached Word document in the assignment area.Competencies Measured By successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate
your proficiency in the following course competencies and assignment
criteria: Competency 1: Analyze the computation, application, strengths, and limitations of various statistical tests.
Analyze statistical assumptions. Competency 2: Analyze the decision-making process of data analysis.
Articulate the data analysis plan. Competency 3: Apply knowledge of hypothesis testing.
Interpret statistical results and hypotheses. Competency 4: Interpret the results of statistical analyses.
Explain statistical conclusions, the limitations of the test, and possible alternative explanations. Competency 5: Apply a statistical program's procedure to data.
Run the analysis and post the findings in the DAA. Competency 6: Apply the results of statistical analyses (your own or others) to your field of interest or career.
Analyze the potential applications of the test in the field and their implications. Competency 7: Communicate in a manner that is scholarly,
professional, and consistent with the expectations for members in the
identified field of study.
Communicate in a manner that is scholarly, professional, and adheres to APA style and formatting.

the question is about the function ?
The question is about the functionf(x)=-(x+1)sin(5x)a)explain why the graph of f lies on or above the x-axis for all values of x in the interval [7pi/5, 8pi/5]b)Write down the expression, involving to x=a definite integral, that gives the area between the graph of f and the x-axis,from x=7pi/5 to x=8pi/5.c) use integration by parts to find area described in part b), giving both the exact answer and an approximation to three decimal places.
