OUTLINE AND RUBRIC EVALUATION INSTRUCTIONS
The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to practice designing your own outline based on
study strategies that you have reviewed through your reading and studies thus far. Review the
presentations found in the Reading & Study folder of Module/Week 2 before you begin.

This assignment will be completed in Microsoft Word ONLINE and will be submitted as a
PDF and shareable link.
Introduction – In this section, use a story, anecdote, or quote to gain the reader’s
attention. Then, give details regarding study strategies that you have tried, learned about,
or found to be unsuccessful. Your thesis statement must state the main idea of the writing
assignment. It often reflects an opinion or judgment that you have made through reading
or personal experience.

Body – In this section, outline 3 learning strategies that you have successfully used
throughout your studies. The supporting evidence will be how you specifically used each
strategy, and how/why it worked for you.

Conclusion – In this section, conclude with some final thoughts on the subject. What
conclusions have you drawn from your readings and course materials regarding study
strategies? You will also discuss 2 new strategies that you will try in the future.
