Explain when the Central Limit Theorem needs to be used to answer a normal probability question.  Is the case of n = 1 included in the Central Limit Theorem?

When the sample size is large and finite variance exists, then only central limit theorem can be applied. For n=1, it cannot be applied Unless the parent population is normal
