What is the acceleration of a 25-kg block of cement when pulled sideways with a net force of 125 N?

You use the equation Force= mass x acceleration.

125 N= 25 kg x acceleration.

Since a N= newton is kg x m / s/s, the units are okay as is.

Therefore, acceleration = 125N/ 25 kg = 5 m/s/s.
