Who was Olaudah Equiano?
He was the son of the chieftain and more importantly the pride of his mother. Through
the experience of the slave trade, he became resourceful and made money to buy his freedom.
He worked with the British Navy because of his intelligence and resourcefulness and later
after working with the navy became a leader of English antislavery movement. (Morganthau,
and Talbot, n.p)
