1. The primary research question for this topic is why is the rate of
occurrence of the different forms of bullying increasing in our society
despite the variety of solutions that have been developed and implemented
for resolving the problem.
2. The negative consequences of bullying on the victims, the bully, and
society makes it imperative for an evaluation of the factors responsible for
the failure of the solutions to rid it from our societies.

B. Context/Background

1. Bully is a problem that is found in every aspect and institutions of our
society including schools, workplace, the Internet, and social relationships.
Therefore, the fact that the problem is an integral part of our lives coupled
with its negative effects on multiple individuals is justification to find a
lasting solution to the menace (Atlas & Pepler, 1998).
