Drug abuse is a widespread vice affecting our society as people of different ages, gender,
class, and race engage in drug and substance use for various reasons. Drug and substance abuse
includes using illegal drugs, such as cannabis, heroin, or cocaine, prescribed medications for a
different purpose for which they were prescribed, or excessive use of such medicines (Yoon et
al., 2020). Alcohol consumption is among the most used substance in society, and the effects are
witnessed every day, and it is made in various forms that vary in taste, flavor, and cost. People
engage in drug abuse due to different reasons, such as societal, economic, psychological, or
biological factors. Celebrities are some of the highest consumers of drugs and addictive
substances because of their ability to afford some of the expensive drugs. Besides drugs, people
are also addicted to other activities, such as gambling, sex, and technology, affecting their lives
in both psychological and social aspects. This paper delves into one such celebrity, Russell
