Perhaps the best predictor of team success is its clarity of purpose and the team's commitment to achieving it. Any form of collaboration is an inherently human process. The culture of an organization can dramatically affect team efficacy and performance. The glue that holds teams together is trust. Three factors can help build trust in collaborative environments: performance and competence, integrity, and concern for the well-being of others.

Competency 1: Explain strategies for effective interprofessional teamwork and collaboration in health care delivery.
Identify leadership behaviors that build trust and undermine trust within teams.
Describe strategies team members can use to build trust among each other.
Describe principles of effective interprofessional team leadership.
Competency 2: Analyze the implications of working with interprofessional teams in multifaceted health care settings.
Explain the consequences of a team that does not trust its leader in terms of patient safety.

Context
"There is a need for nursing leaders to provide inspiration, mentorship, and direction, whether it be for a patient or the profession" (Mahoney, 2001, p. 269). Mahoney's point is that leaders are needed at all levels, all functions, and all specialties of nursing. Leadership skills are especially important when guiding or facilitating a team.
But what makes a skilled leader? Aranda, Aranda, and Conlon (1998) suggest that five elements are critical: sharing an inspired vision, challenging team processes, modeling effective team behaviors, empowering team members, and encouraging the heart (pp. 45–46). Leaders must deal with conflict, decision making, and goal achievement.
In health care today, there are more teams (including virtual teams) of multidisciplinary professionals than ever before. To lead these teams effectively and successfully, the roles and responsibilities of each team member need to be clearly defined, along with clear descriptions of how the team will make decisions.
Trust is an important factor in multidisciplinary team collaboration as well, and it is measured in terms of reliability and communication. A competent and effective leader knows how to build trust across boundaries (geographic, cultural, gender, age, et cetera) to tap the skills and talents of each team member, resulting in team success.

Cilkray Graphics case analysis, writing homework help
Order Description
You have been summoned to help Marcus Crosby determine the best course of action in response to recent developments with Grovex. As you prepare your recommendation, be sure to consider the following factors:
What is Cilkray’s product line strategy
Why, and when, did Groves decide to reject Cilkray’s vision of the market in 2013?
How serious a threat is GSpeed?
What should Cilkray do now with respect to:
o Price
o Current and future product development plans
o Marketing and/or customer support?
Use the following structure to organize the content of your memo:
1) Introduction A (purpose & value): Begin your memo in a way that makes its purpose and value clear to the recipient, and makes him or her want to read it. (Make this short—one sentence should usually suffice).
2) Introduction B (preview): Next, immediately give a very short (1-2 sentences) summary of your primary recommendation or conclusion. Your recommendation must be up front! Your audience should know your position from the outset. It should be top of mind as they evaluate the support you provide for it in the body of the memo. You might want to consider underlining or boldfacing your recommendation to make it stand out.
3) Analysis and Support: Proceed to the analysis requested in the assignment. Given the identity of the individual to whom you are writing the memo, you should assume that he or she knows everything that is in the case. Do not repeat the facts from the case except as necessary to support your points. There should be a clear link between the information you include and your recommendation.
4) Exhibits: Include supporting exhibits you think the reader will find helpful in the appendix. These are not part of the one-page memo. But remember—the memo must stand on its own! Do not rely on your exhibits to make important points, because busy executives don’t always look at them. I am much like a busy executive when we grade these assignments, and might not read exhibits if you haven’t piqued our interest for them in your memo. Still, for important calculations you MUST include exhibits so we can verify your process.

Option #1: Business Analysis Report (Heathrow)
This Portfolio Project focuses on assessing and integrating project requirements in relation to user needs and organizational goals. Review the PMI case study about Refurbishing Heathrow Airport Terminal One, with an emphasis on how you would assess the problem and integrate a solution in a different way.
Project Management Institute. (2013). Changing the face at the busiest airport in the world through project management. Attached or Retrieved from http://www.pmi.org/business-solutions/~/media/PDF/Case%20Study/Heathrow_Airport_Case_Study_New.ashx
Your task is to develop a 10- to 12-page report that includes the following sections, and outlines your strategies for addressing the problems described in the Heathrow Airport Terminal One project:
Introduction (1 Page)Definition of the Business Analysis Process (1 Page)Information Flow Graphic (1 Page)Explanation/Description of Graphic (1 Page)Define the Project (1 Page)Data Collection (1 Page)Strategies/Theory Used to Reach Conclusion (1 Page)Justification/Explanation for Risk Analysis (1 Page)Risk Mitigation Process (1 Page)Conclusion (1 Page)This is a large project that is best approached by splitting it into smaller pieces. It is a good idea to give the case study one more read, with an eye toward things you would do differently.
Components of the Project
The introduction and conclusion are probably best written last, as the content of these sections depends greatly on what you write in the body of the report. Section II is a good component to write first. In this section, you will explain your definition of the business analysis process. You were presented with at least one other definition in the course textbook and lectures, but this is your opportunity to come up with your own definition and explain how you got there. This is also a good place to bring in references from other scholarly sources.
In Section III, you will create a graphic that represents your business analysis process. Remember that if you designed a graphic in Module 1, you are welcome to use that graphic as a starting point, or you can start from scratch. Be sure to use the feedback that you received from your instructor when designing the model for this final report. Section IV is where you explain your thinking and what makes your model unique as compared to others. In Section V, you will define the problem in the Heathrow Airport Terminal One example. As we know, without identifying what we want to change, it is difficult to measure success; thus, defining the problem is critical. In Section VI, you will describe the data that must be collected to ensure a successful project. You will need to cover not only which data you would like to have, but also how you will collect/retrieve that data.
In Section VII, you will describe the strategies and/or theories you used in formulating your solution. This is another section of the report where it would make sense to include academic references. The project is defined, and data collection for important facets of the project are completed and explained. This taps into your ability to defend the validity and reliability of your analytical model.
The final two sections are related to risk. Here you will justify the end results of the analytical processes, addressing any significant risks encountered along the way, and provide an explanation of how these risks would be mitigated. After you’ve written the body of the report, you can develop the introduction, where you will provide an overview of the sections and your findings, followed by a conclusion, where you will recap the process and describe any limitations or difficulties that you encountered.
Include five or six academic or professional references that support assertions made in your paper, in addition to sources that are already part of the course materials.
