Veins and Arteries - Please be specific and give detail. PLEASE NO PLAGIARISM

Question Description

All arteries of the adult body contain oxygenated blood except one. Which one and why?

All veins of the adult body contain deoxygenated blood except one. Which one and why?

Final Answer

pulmonary arteries and veins because they do the opposite thing to normal arteries and veins. Arteries usually carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the body but pulmonary means lungs and the pulmonary artery carries de-oxygenated blood away from the heart but to the lungs and not round the body.
Veins usually carry de-oxygenated blood back to the heart but the pulmonary vein carries oxygenated blood to the heart which then pumps it into the aorta which takes it to the body.
