Conformity
One of the conformity issues I have faced in the workplace is in regards to decision
making. The team had certain methodology for decision making where a standardised
template was developed. However, I realised that the model led to irrational and flawed
decision making because it prevented employees from steering off track and thinking outside
the box. The creativity process was completely shut down due to the continuous acceptance
of the first idea suggested. I decided to challenge the suggestions made in order to build on
them, and avoid stagnation in decision making.
