1. Describe the major strengths and weaknesses of Accenture’s new system of providing
employees feedback about their job performance. (02 Marks) (Min words 150-200)
The workforce and the principle of equal respect for all are unavoidably the most
significant advantages of Accenture's new method. Accenture will have offices in 50
nations and 200 cities throughout the world by 2022, with local employees from the
countries in which they are located. Furthermore, it adheres to a regulation that stipulates
that a particular percentage of the work would be completed by the onsite team, with the
remaining percentage of the job being completed by the offshore team. Because of the
extensive interaction between the on-site and off-shore teams, the work force became
more diversified and the workplace culture became more diverse. Accenture is a firm
believer in treating everyone with dignity and respect, which is one of the company's six
fundamental principles, as previously stated. This resulted in rules that were applied to all
employees on an equal basis, regardless of their position title. Accenture is not one of
those organizations where facilities are assigned depending on one's position; however,
this is the case in several other companies. Accenture's biggest shortcoming, on the other
hand, is that communication between employees working in different workforce
categories is quite bad. Business Consulting, Solutions (Technology Services), and
Services are the three categories in which the company's employees work (BPO). It is
impossible to communicate with the personnel who fall into each group because they are
located in separate offices with no means of communication. Employees would have
benefited from improved communication since it would have resulted in a better learning
experience, better coordination, and more possibilities.
2. Identify types of job performance that Accenture’s new system of providing
performance feedback would best account for? Which types of job performance that
might be overlooked? Explain.(02 Marks ) (Min words 150-200)
It may not be as simple as it appears to be to provide feedback. It is a comprehensive
process in which an individual must actively listen, establish an environment conducive
to positive reception, and devise a strategy for moving forward. The company created a
performance management tool that includes voice recognition and is compatible with
mobile devices. It is possible for employees to use the app at any time they choose to
request and receive immediate feedback from their coworkers. They will be able to put it
to use right away to improve their abilities. The sorts of job performance that would be
most accurately measured under the new method would be task performance and
organizational citizenship conduct. This would be due to the fact that the system strives
to provide the greatest possible results for their clients and stakeholders.
Counterproductive workplace behaviors may be overlooked because there is no guarantee
or evidence that the alleged behavior, which is said to have occurred, resulted in a
negative impact on the company.
