So probability of either occuring is:

P ( A or B ) = P ( A but not B ) + P ( B but not A ) + P ( A and B )

= 0.16 + 0.34 + 0

= 0.5

And the probability of neither occuring is:

P ( not A and not B ) = 1 - P ( A or B )

= 0.5
