Habit of the Mind

Week one
After I read the first assignment that required me to write on a topic, my mind hovered all over.
Lots of Ideas came to mind. It was up to me to pick the best that will depict my good writing
capabilities (Sullivan, 2012).
Week two
I never underestimated my mind when it came to creativity. I was able to land on a decision on
the topic to write. Before I wrote I arranged the ideas in my mind about the topic
Week three
These were the preparation week. Preparing the materials that will be included in my work. It
was not an easy task. Ideas had to be arranged systematically one after the other in good order.
Week four
Work becomes more tedious but I realized that my mind was becoming used to these tasks.
Thinking more broadly on issues one after the other.
Week five
After proper preparation of the mind, I was able to come up with points more effectively without
more strain. Creativity had become a part of me.

Week one
Doing something complicated even though hard without quitting is what I personally refer as
persistence (Sullivan, 2012). I was able to write several drafts before coming up with the final
Week two
I structured my ideas, developed linguistic structures that included grammar and spelling
gradually. This required time in order to be accurate.
Week three
I gained experience. My persistence was making me to be an expert in writing. I came to learn
that one gets to know better the details of a topic if he/she is more persistent in researching on its
Week four
In this stage, I was capable of interpreting all the requirement set as instructions. Everything was
at my fingertips.
Week five
The virtue of patience now was a part of me. Persistence is closely related to patience. With my
topic now structured to the end and having done several drafts before. The final copy was ready
to be made.

Week one
It’s the accountability. One must accept responsibility for his/her actions. I was ready to be held
accountable for the work I did on the topic. Accepting what I am meant to do and what is
supposed to be done.
Week two
To ensure that I was responsible for the content of the topic, I included a declaration that started
that I am the original author and developer of the topic. I was to be held accountable for any
information therein.
Week three
This course taught me the need to recognize the efforts of others. I came to learn on how to do
citation in my work. These are to appreciate the content of another person in my topic.
Week four
During this course, I learned the virtue of responsibility. If one does not become responsible the
realization of these objectives cannot be possible. The virtue of being responsible has made me
realize its importance in any activity.
Week five
I became used and learned to be responsible for handling various tasks. My mind was now
capable of serving numerous responsibilities at the same time.

Week one
The mind of every person should be flexible enough in order to handle requests as they become
due. In this course, I learnt to be flexible not be fixed and to cling to one idea. One has to be
flexible when writing on a topic (Sullivan, 2012).
Week two
To ensure flexibility I scheduled myself. Each task was assigned its specific time. This allowed
me to handle each subheading correctly without the interference of the others.
Week three
I can now find myself capable of doing many things at the same time. Having the knowledge and
expertise on a range of activities as learned in assignment 1 is what constitutes flexibility
(Johnson, 2013).
Week four.
During the course, I learned how to handle different situations. I preferred typing as I edited
rather than typing and editing latter. The issues of spelling and grammar were now at my
fingertips. I was getting prepared for the final draft.
Week five
Different subtopics called a different way of writing. It required a person to be flexible enough.
Being able to recognize the different formats required in each field. Being a writer it called for
