Finding the appropriate people and enhancing their skills is crucial for any business that has an

therefore, seeks to expound on the two types of research about the employee retention and the
strategies for enhancing the retention of the employees. The two research studies pertaining to
the hospitality industry. However; their research designs are different in that one of them is
quantitative while the other one is qualitative.
In the first research, the primary focus of the researcher was to identify the factors that
contribute to employee retention in an organization. In this case, the researcher emphasized on
the factors that impact the employee turnover rate and retention in the hospitality industry.
According to the research study, the retention of employees is one of the critical challenges
facing most business organizations particularly the hospitality sector (Tiwari, 2015). Important to
observe is that the hospitality industry has shown a sporadic growth in that it requires more
employees to work on the labor in the organizations. Numerous factors influence on the retention
and turnover rates of employees in the hospitality industry (Tiwari, 2015). In this case, the
researcher deployed the use of quantitative research design in a bid to analyze data. The online
survey was utilized by the researcher to get responses from the participants. In this case, 42
responses were obtained to verify the responses of the study.
