Social change is concept that refers to the changes noticed in the cultural behaviors of
human beings after a long period. The changes affect people’s behaviors and attitude towards
certain societal issues such as marriage, communication, and work. Interestingly, social change is
vulnerable to external forces that do not necessarily come from the society (Lin & Atkin, 2014);
external forces could include exposure to other cultures. On the other hand, technology is a
collection of skills and techniques acquired to improve the production processes and a quicker
achievement of business goals. Technology largely targets agriculture, industrial processes, and
in the 21st century, business activities. The discovery of the computer in the 20th Century
changed technological paradigms as now objectives and goals could be achieved in extremely
short time. Additionally, technology has significantly improved communication and the world
can be termed as a ‘global village’ (Majumdar, S., Marakkath, N. and Guha, S., 2014).
